Cargo traffic at 12 major Indian ports fell by around 7% y-o-y to 600.63 mn t during Apr ’20-Feb ’21 as compared to 643.10 mn t in CPLY, according to Indian Ports Association. Traffic declined in all the ports except Mormugao and Paradip Ports. The five ports namely Deendayal Port, Paradip Port, Visakhapatanam Port, JNPT and Shyama Prasad Mookerjee Port together handled around 64% of total major ports traffic during Apr-Feb. Deendayal Port handled the highest cargo traffic i.e. 104.62 mn t.
