In Jul’24, Canada’s ferrous scrap exports touched 383,483 t, up by 15% m-o-m from 333,043 t in Jun’24.
Exports surged by 26% y-o-y compared to Jul’23 (305,187 t).
In 7MCY’24, total scrap exports fell by 9% y-o-y, totalling 2.52 mnt compared to 2.76 mnt in the CPLY.
In Jul’24, the US accounted for over 70% of the export volume of Canada, followed by India, Taiwan, and other Asian countries.
