Canada to impose 25% tariff on Chinese steel and aluminum imports

Canada will impose a 25% tariff on Chinese steel and aluminum imports starting October 15, following similar U.S. actions. This is in response to China’s increased steel production. Canada also plans a 100% tariff on Chinese electric vehicles. The move addresses concerns from U.S. and Mexican trade partners about avoiding trade rules, as per Japan Metal daily.
