Brazils’s leading pellet producer Samarco Mineracao is looking to restart mining operations at its Germano iron ore complex by the end of CY’20, five years after the mining disaster at Fundao tailings dam at Mariana Mining Complex. The company said it is planning a restart with an annual production of up to 8 mn t pa increasing gradually to 24 mn t pa in ten years, SteelMint learned from credible news reports.
