Brazil, the world’s second-largest Pig iron exporter, has exported 0.23 MnT Pig iron in Aug’16 according to trade statistics released by Brazilian customs.
Brazilian Pig iron exports have registered a downfall of 8% M-o-M in Aug’16 against 0.25 MnT in Jul’16. On similar lines, exports fall by 4.1% Y-o-Y against 0.24 MnT in Aug’15.
In the first eight months of 2016, the country exported 1.48 MnT Pig iron, down by 14.4% as compared to 1.73 MnT in the same time period prior this year.
Country’s Pig iron exports majorly directed to USA, Netherlands, Peru, Mexico, Thailand etc. In Aug’16, exports to USA remained at 0.12 MnT. Whereas, exports to Netherlands was registered at 0.04 MnT and Peru at 0.07 MnT.
