Mining major Vale may sell off a part of its Para mine located in north Brazil where it has mining rights over 12,000 hectares of manganese deposits. Even though Vale owned this mine for more than 20 years, the company had to bear the brunt of illegal mining by third parties for several years. The potential buyer will be liable to compensate for the damage to the environment caused by illegal mining.
