Brazil: Slabs exports rise over 5% m-o-m in Dec’22

Brazil’s steel slabs exports improved by 5.6% m-o-m to 553,792 t in Dec’22 as against 524,182 t in Nov’22, as per customs data.
The US was the largest importer at 432,656 t followed by Mexico at 59,467 t.
Cumulative slabs exports by the country increased marginally by 2.7% to 7.1 mnt in CY22 as against 6.9 mnt in CY21.
