Brazil: Pig Iron Exports Up by 20% in May’17

Brazil, the world’s second-largest Pig iron exporter, has exported 0.18 MnT Pig iron in May’17 according to trade statistics released by Brazilian customs.

The exports have registered a growth of 20% M-o-M in May’17 against 0.15 MnT in Apr’17.

Although, on Y-o-Y in May’17 exports remain in same proportion against 0.18 MnT in May’16.

In the first 5 months of 2017, the country exported 0.89 MnT Pig iron, up by 3.5% as compared to 0.86 MnT in the same time period last this year.

Country wise exports:

During May’17, the largest importer of Brazilian Pig iron was United States (0.08 MnT), inline is Netherland (0.06 MnT), Taiwan (0.02 MnT) & Argentina (0.01 MnT).
