- Brazil’s pig iron exports fell 22.44% m-o-m in Apr’22 to 0.25 mnt from 0.32 mnt in Mar, as per data released by customs.
- The USA was the largest importer of pig iron at 0.10 mnt followed by The Netherlands at 0.05 mnt.
- However, export volumes increased by 19% y-o-y to 1.08 mnt in Jan-Apr’22 as against 0.91 mnt in the year-ago period.
