Brazil, the world’s second-largest Pig iron exporter, has exported 111,414 MT Pig iron in Jan’17 according to trade statistics released by Brazilian customs.
Brazilian Pig iron exports have registered a downfall of 48% M-o-M in Jan’17 against 212,831 MT in Dec’16. On similar lines, exports fall by 28% Y-o-Y against MnT in Jan’16.
In 2016, the country exported 2.17 MnT Pig iron, down by 19% as compared to 2.75 MnT in the same time period prior this year.
Country’s Pig iron exports majorly directed to Taiwan, Peru, Italy, Argentina etc. Pig iron exports to Taiwan was recorded at 36,430 MT, Peru 32,770 MT and Italy 31,730 MT.
