According to the Brazilian customs, the country has witnessed a significant rise of 57% M-o-M in its Manganese Ore exports.
Brazilian Manganese Ore export in Jun’18 was at 0.22 MnT against 0.14 MnT in May’18. However, on yearly basis, Brazilian Manganese Ore exports reflected a decline of 12% as it was 0.25 MnT in Jun’17.
China’s Appetite for Brazilian Manganese Ore
China remains the largest importer of Brazilian Manganese Ore in Jun’18 at 0.19 MnT witnessing a whopping rise of around 138% M-o-M against 0.08 MnT in May’18. Uruguay on the other hand, recorded a substantial fall of 50% M-o-M, importing only 0.03 MnT in Jun’18 against 0.06 MnT in May’18.
An increase in Manganese Ore exports by Brazil to China can be attributed to the rising manganese alloy prices, which has created a bullish sentiment.
