Brazil witnessed a substantial increase in its Manganese Ore exports which was recorded at a 7-month high for the country.
According to preliminary custom data, Brazil’s Manganese Ore export witnessed a massive increase of 79% on M-o-M basis to 0.25 MnT in Jun’17, as compared to the previous month. In May’17 Brazilian Manganese Ore exports were recorded at 0.14 MnT.
Moreover, on yearly basis, Brazil manganese Ore exports are up by 79% as well in Jun’17 against 0.14 MnT in Jun’16.
Brazilian Manganese Ore Imports by China
China being one of the largest importer of Brazilian manganese ore, witnessed a mammoth increase of 150% M-o-M in its imports in Jun’17. Brazilian Manganese Ore export escalation and increase in import of the same by China, can be attributed to China diverting towards Brazil for its Manganese Ore requirement amid supply shortage from South Africa during the winter months. Argentina stood out to be second largest imported of Brazilian Manganese Ore.
