Brazil: Manganese Ore Exports at 2.01 MnT in 2016

Brazil, one of the prominent exporters of Manganese Ore in the world, has exported 2.01 MnT in 2016. In 2015, the said country had exported 1.9 MnT of Manganese Ore.

Brazilian Manganese ore exports stood at 0.23 MnT in Dec’16, having witnessed a substantial fall of 29% M-o-M. In Nov’16 the exports were at 0.3 MnT. In similar lines, the exports also have marginally increased by 3% against the same month of the previous year, at 0.22 MnT. Moreover, the exports in Jan’17 registered a substantial increase of 27% against Jan’16 exports.

China remains the largest consumer of Brazilian Manganese Ore. In 2016, China imported 1.03 MnT Manganese Ore against 0.82 MnT in 2015. In Dec’16, the country imported 0.09 MnT Manganese Ore against 0.24 MnT in Nov’16. In Dec’15, the country has imported 0.12 MnT Manganese Ore.

Argentina and France are the second and third largest importers of Brazilian Manganese Ore.
