Brazil: Iron ore exports rise by 4% y-o-y in Sep’24

Brazil’s iron ore exports rose by 4% to 36.9 mnt in Sep’24 compared to 35.6 mnt in Sep’23, as per customs data.
Export volumes increased by 8% m-o-m as against 34.31 mnt in Aug’24.
The average price of iron ore shipped from Brazil declined y-o-y to $66.4/t FOB in Sep’24 compared to $77.1/t FOB in Sep’23.
