Brazil: Iron ore exports rise 8% y-o-y in Apr’24

  • Brazil’s iron ore exports rose by 8% y-o-y to 27.2 mnt* in Apr’24 compared to 24.87 mnt in Apr’23, as per customs data.
  • Volumes remained largely stable m-o-m as against 26.63 mnt in Mar.
  • The average price of iron ore shipped from Brazil stood at $81.28/t FOB in Apr, down y-o-y compared to $88.9/t FOB in the same month of last year.
