Brazil: Iron ore exports rise 21% y-o-y in Feb’24

  • Brazil’s iron ore exports rose by 21% y-o-y to 28.3 mnt in Feb’24 compared to 23.3 mnt in Feb’23, as per Customs data.
  • However, volumes decreased by 4% m-o-m as against 29.4 mnt in Jan.
  • The average price of iron ore shipped from Brazil stood at $98.2/t FOB in Feb, up y-o-y compared to $84.3/t FOB in the same month last year.
