Brazil: Iron ore exports fall over 20% m-o-m in Jan’23

Brazil’s iron ore exports sharply decreased by 23% m-o-m in Jan’23 to 24.69 mnt compared to 32.02 mnt in the previous month, as per Customs data.
Exports remained largely stable as against 24.89 mnt in Jan’22 y-o-y.
In Dec’22, the average price of iron ore shipped from Brazil was $72.3/t FOB, down by $5.6/t (7% down), y-o-y against $77.9/t in Jan’22.
