Brazil: Iron ore exports edge down 5% m-o-m in Feb’23

Brazil’s iron ore exports decreased marginally by 5% m-o-m in Feb’23 to 23.41 mnt compared to 24.69 mnt in Jan’23, customs data showed. Exports declined due to less number of working days.
However, the volume increased by 25% y-o-y as against 18.65 mnt in Feb’22.
The average price of iron ore shipped from Brazil was $86/t FOB in Feb’23, down $8.5/t (9%) y-o-y against $94.5/t in Feb’22.
