Brazil’s ferro silicon exports dropped by 29% m-o-m to 13,653 t in Aug’22 from 19,150 t in Jul’22, according to customs data maintained with SteelMint. The fall in exports was mainly because of a 40% m-o-m decrease in shipments to major importer Japan. Meanwhile, cumulative exports in Jan-Aug’22 stood at 97,923 t, down by 29% y-o-y compared to the same period last year.
