Brazil: CSP slab exports witness 4.8% m-o-m drop in Aug’20

Brazil’s leading slab producer Companhia Siderurgica do Pecem (CSP), registered slab exports at 238,564 t in Aug’20, falling 4.8% m-o-m against 250,579 t in Jul’20. The same on y-o-y basis, increased by 5.7%, SteelMint learned. US remained the largest importer with 41% share followed by China and Canada. CSP is the 4th-largest steelmaker in Brazil and is a JV between Vale (50% share), Dongkuk (30%) and Posco (20%).
