Brazil: CSP reports decline of 15% in slab production Q2 CY’20

Companhia Siderurgica do Pecem (CSP) produced 603,000 t of slabs in the second quarter of CY’20, down by 15% y-o-y as compared to 709,000 t in Q2 CY’19. The company expects to recover production level nearly equal to the previous year, in the third quarter CY’20. The company is a joint venture between Vale (50% shares), South Korea’s Dongkuk Steel (30%) and Posco (20%).
