Black Sea HMS offered higher at 375-380/CFR Turkey

Few Black Sea scrap
cargoes with maximum 10,000 MT were heard sold at $375-380/MT CFR Turkey this
week after US suppliers offered scrap considerably higher than recent prices.

It is reported that
Russian exporters are selling HMS 1&2 (80:20) at $378-379/MT CFR Turkey this
week. While Romanian HMS offered at $375/MT CFR North Turkey.

The increase in
Black Sea prices reflects the recent hike in offers by US recyclers. Higher
port and yard charges prompted Turkish buyers to pay higher for HMS in bulk.

According to a
trader, “US recyclers are looking for $390-392/MT CFR Turkey for HMS 1&2 (80:20)
if demand increases further from Turkish importers for material.”

Moreover, Black Sea
scrap offers inched up by $5/MT to $355/MT FOB this week.
