Billet prices show an uptrend in most of the places

Billet trading prices are up by Rs 100-200/MT in many of the
places.       

“Raipur trading volumes are good and prices are unchanged in
the local market. Billet is being offered at Rs 33,900-34,000/MT (Basic
prices), Rs 100/MT more than last trade,” said a Raipur based trader. 

“Jalna rolling mills that were closed from sometime as they
were under maintenance have started operating and prices are expected to rise further.
Billet is being quoted with an increase of Rs 200/MT at Rs 34,200-300/MT (Basic
price),” reported a manufacturer from Jalna.

“Ahmadabad demand for Billet is not strong and prices are not
expected to fall as there is shortage of raw material. Billet is being traded
at Rs 36,100-200/MT (Basic price),” said a trader in Ahmadabad.                       

“Kandla Billet prices unchanged at Rs 35,300-400/MT (Basic
price) are anticipated to be stable for another two to three days and show
changes in the beginning of next week,” remarked sources.
