Billet prices in South correct on weak demand

Billet trading prices have not shown fluctuation in most of the major Mandi's.

According to a Raipur based trader, Billet prices might show uptrend if demand for Re-bar picks up in South. As power cut issues have not been resolved in South, demand for finished products will come to Raipur.

“Goa and Chennai Billet prices slip by Rs 400/MT at Rs 32,800/MT (Basic price, payment next day) and by Rs 500/MT at Rs 39,000/MT (ED included, regular payment condition) on weak sales. Demand is poor on dull finished markets,” remarked sources.
