Billet prices fall on weak demand

“Billet prices fall in the range of Rs 200/MT to Rs 500/MT
on low trading volumes and few buyers in Indian market.

Despite the power price rise and higher Iron ore prices, the Ingot and Sponge Iron prices has shown a downtrend. The Re-bar prices have also
slipped by Rs 500/MT.

We expect Monday to show some direction to markets,” said a Raipur
based trader.

Raipur Billet is hovering
around Rs 34,000-100/MT, where as Billet in Rourkela is offered at Rs 33,000-200/MT (Ex-works
prices)
