CIS Billet is being offered at $540-545/t fob Black Sea for October on account of limited buying activities. For September, it was quoted at $550-555/t and some deals were also concluded at $560/t.
Buyers in Turkey hold Billet purchases from CIS and wait for further correction in prices as current offers are not too low.
Inventory built up is a major concern and prices in China are quite low. Finished products such as re-bars and wires in China is being traded at offers equal to those of Billet in Ukraine. Hence, sales of Billet in CIS is anticipated to be poor.
