“Billet market is quiet dull in Punjab and we are negative regarding any improvement in the current scenario”, said Mr. Hitesh Abrol, Director of Allied Recycling Ltd, based at Ludhiana, Punjab.
“A number of issues in the state has hit market. Power rates are also high at 6.50 per unit.
The production capacity has come down to 50% on account of little buying interest.
We are selling Billets at Rs 33,000/MT (Basic) level presently”, he added.
