Billet makers in South India raise offers on power price hike 

In Andhra Pradesh, manufacturers of Billet are offering their material at higher prices looking at the rise in power charges.

Billet is being traded at  Rs 1,000/MT more to Rs 32,300/MT (basic) in Hyderabad.

Power tariff has moved up by 0.95 paise per unit we.f April 1. Demand charge is currently at Rs 350, which was at Rs 250 before.

Hence, prices have gone up in the range of 1.15 – 1.30 to Rs 6 per unit.

Earlier to this, power prices were standing at Rs 4.73 per unit for rolling mill and at Rs 4.37 for induction furnace.
