Billet buying to weaken further in India

Billet manufacturers increase offers in the range of Rs 500-700/MT in cities such as Mumbai, Pune and Kolhapur.

Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC) has increased power tariffs by 16-18% i.e. Re 1 per unit. Hence, input cost moves up by Rs 300-400/MT.

A trader in Chhattisgarh told about absolutely no inquiries seen for Billet today. Whereas, buying has weakened at Mandi Gobindgarh, reported another trader.
