BigMints billet index fell by NR 300/tonne (t) day-on-day (d-o-d) to settle at INR 36,650/t exw-Raipur. The conversion spread from sponge iron (PDRI) to billet for standalone induction furnaces in Raipur was assessed at INR 13,250/t.
BigMint’s domestic end-cutting scrap index, tracking the Mandi Gobindgarh market, fell by INR 200/tonne (t) d-o-d to INR 35,600/t DAP.
Sponge iron prices across domestic markets declined in the wide range of INR 50-400/tonne (t). Daily sponge iron trade volumes recorded at around 7,500 t.
