BigMint’s billet index increased by INR 200/t d-o-d to INR 43,150/t exw-Raipur. The conversion spread from pellet-based sponge iron (PDRI) to billets for standalone induction furnaces in Raipur was assessed at around INR 15,700/t.
Sponge iron prices across India increased by INR 200-600/t. Daily trade volumes were estimated at around 5,100 t.
BigMint’s domestic end-cutting scrap index, tracking the Mandi Gobindgarh market, climbed INR 900/tonne (t) d-o-d to INR 40,900/t DAP.
