BigMint’s billet index rose by INR 200/t d-o-d to INR 45,600/t exw-Raipur. The conversion spread between sponge iron (PDRI) and billet for standalone induction furnaces in the Raipur cluster was assessed at INR 16,200/t.
Sponge iron prices fell by INR 50-300/t d-o-d across regions. BigMint’s Raipur PDRI price settled at around INR 29,400/t, down marginally by INR 50/t. BigMint recorded overall trade volume of around 10,000 t.
BigMint’s domestic end-cutting scrap index, tracking the Mandi Gobindgarh market, decreased by INR 100/t d-o-d to INR 43,300/t DAP. In Mandi, the spread between end-cutting scrap and billets stood in the range of INR 5,200-5,600/t.
