BigMint’s billet index recorded a marginal d-o-d decline of INR 50/tonne (t) to INR 37,800/t exw-Raipur, the conversion spread from PDRI to billets for standalone induction furnaces in Raipur was assessed at INR 12,700/t.
India’s sponge iron prices exhibited mixed trends across the country, Spot offers declined by INR 150-500/t across various regions, however, southern regions witnessed a price increase of INR 50-500/t, owing to tight availability.
BigMint’s domestic end-cutting scrap index, tracking the Mandi Gobindgarh market, remained firm d-o-d at INR 35,900/t DAP.
