BigMint’s billet index declined by INR 150/tonne (t) d-o-d to INR 34,500/t exw-Raipur. The PDRI-to-billet conversion spread for standalone induction furnaces in Raipur was assessed at INR 12,450/t.
Sponge iron prices across India declined by INR 50-300/tonne (t) d-o-d. Daily sponge iron trade volumes were estimated at around 23,000 t.
BigMint’s domestic end-cutting scrap index, tracking the Mandi Gobindgarh market, decreased by INR 300/tonne (t) d-o-d to INR 32,800/t DAP.
