As per BigMint’s latest bi-weekly assessment, Fe 62% concentrate prices continued to INR 5,300/t ($58/t) ex-works.
India’s sponge iron prices declined by INR 100-500/t across regions. Trade volume recorded around 7,300t.
BigMint’s billet index fell further by INR 450/t day-on-day to INR 40,400/t exw-Raipur. The conversion spread from pellet-based sponge iron (PDRI) to billets for standalone induction furnaces in Raipur was assessed at around INR 14,950/t.
