BigMint’s billet index declined further by INR 300/t day-on-day to INR 41,250/t exw-Raipur. The conversion spread from pellet-based sponge iron (PDRI) to billets for standalone induction furnaces in Raipur was assessed at around INR 15,350/t.
India’s sponge iron prices declined by INR 100-500/t across regions. Trade volumes recorded was around 9,100 t.
BigMint’s domestic end-cutting scrap index, tracking the Mandi Gobindgarh market, remained unchanged d-o-d at INR 38,100/tonne (t) DAP.
