BigMint’s bi-weekly domestic pellet (Fe63%) index dropped by INR 100/t ($1/t) to INR 10,000/t ($119/t) DAP Raipur on 15 October compared to the previous assessment on 11 October.
BigMint’s domestic end-cutting scrap index, which tracks the Mandi Gobindgarh market, fell by INR 300/tonne (t) to INR 38,500/t DAP on 15 October 2024.
Indian sponge iron prices declined by INR 50-250/tonne (t). PDRI prices closed within the range of INR 26,500-28,000/t, while CDRI prices settled at INR 28,300-33,900/t.Only 6,100 t of sponge iron transactions were recorded in the country 15 October compared to 12,200 t on 14 October.
