BigMint’s bi-weekly domestic pellet (Fe 63%) index for Raipur decreased by INR 300/t ($3/t) toINR 10,600/t ($114/t) DAP. BigMint recorded deals of around 25,000 t concluded at INR 10,400-500/t ($112-113/t) exw Raipur by local pellet producers.
India’s sponge iron prices fell by INR 100-600/t d-o-d across regions. The recorded trade volume stood at around 4,500 t.
BigMint’s billet index in Raipur declined sharply by INR 450/t day-on-day to INR 42,550/t ex-works. The conversion spread from pellet-based sponge iron (PDRI) to billets for standalone induction furnaces in Raipur was assessed at around INR 16,100/t.
