BigMint’s bi-weekly assessment for Fe 62% concentrate stood unchanged at INR 4,600/t ($48/t) ex-works, while Fe 63% concentrate offers were heard at around INR 4,900/t ($52/t) ex-works. DR CLO (10-40 mm, Fe 67%) was fixed at INR 5,750/t ($60/t), while Fe 64% fines were reduced to INR 4,500/t ($47/t).
BigMint’s billet index increased by INR 150/t d-o-d to INR 38,700/t exw-Raipur. The conversion spread between pellet-based direct reduced iron (PDRI) and billets for standalone induction furnaces in the Raipur cluster was assessed at INR 13,000/t.
Domestic sponge iron prices witnessed an upward movement of around INR 100-500/t across regions. BigMints Raipur PDRI assessment settled at around INR 25,700/t exw-Raipur. BigMint recorded around 18,000 t of sponge iron trades.
