Bhushan Steel: Iron Ore Sourcing Up 27% in Nov’19

Bhushan Steel – a major integrated steel maker with a capacity of 5.6 MnT has recorded iron ore & pellet sourcing at 0.41 MnT in Nov’19. The sourcing increased 27% as against 0.32 MnT in Oct’19.

Bhushan steel total iron ore sourcing for the month stood at 0.41 MnT, up 33% against 0.31 MnT in Oct’19.

Tata Steel supplies increased significantly by 35% for the month to 0.37 MnT as against 0.27 MnT a month ago.

State owned miner- OMC supplied 41,090 MT iron ore to the steel maker in Nov’19, up 19% as compared to 34,505 MT in Oct’19.

Sourcing from Serajuddin mines and other Odisha merchant miners recorded nil since past two months.

Odisha’s major merchant iron ore miners namely Serajuddin, KJS Ahluwalia & Kaypee, KN Ram and Rungta mines increased iron ore fines and lump offers by INR 400/MT (ex-mines, including Roaylty,DMF and GST extra) yesterday (17th Dec 2019) .

Bhushan Steel pellet sourcing dropped to nil in Nov’19

The pellet sourcing by the steel maker recorded nil for the month, as against 15,400 MT a month ago.

Tata Steel BSL is planning to expand Bhushan steel capacity from 5.6 MnT to 8.3 MnT. They are also planning to enhance production at its captive iron ore mines around Jamshedpur and Kalinganagar.
