Bangladesh’s thermal coal imports up 12% in Dec’22

Bangladesh thermal coal imports in Dec’22 were recorded at 1.27 mnt, up 12% as against 1.13 mnt in Nov. Imports increased from Indonesia by 13% to 1.04 mnt, while shipments from Australia rose by 9% at 110,000 t. Imports South Africa rose to 60,500 t, while there were nil shipments from China.
