Bangladesh: Thermal coal imports rise by 22% m-o-m in Aug’24

Bangladesh’s thermal coal import volumes witnessed a moderate increase of 22% m-o-m to 1.27 mnt in Aug’24 compared to 1.05 mnt in Jul’24, as per customs data maintained with BigMint.
Indonesia continued to be the sole exporter in Aug’24, the same as in Jul’24.
Furthermore, thermal coal imports in Aug’24 registered a 13% increase y-o-y, compared to 1.12 mnt in Aug’23.
