Bangladesh: Thermal coal imports drop sharply by 64% m-o-m in Feb’25

Bangladesh’s thermal coal imports stood at 0.66 mnt in Feb’25, registering a sharp 63.5% decline from 1.81 mnt in Jan’25. On a y-o-y basis, imports fell by 7% compared to 0.71 mnt in Feb’24. The decline points to fluctuating demand-supply dynamics in the market.
