Bangladesh thermal coal imports down 48% in Jan’23

Bangladesh thermal coal imports for Jan’23 recorded at 0.66 mnt, drop of 48% as against 1.27 mnt in Dec’22. Indonesia stood the sole exporter for the month with 37% fall m-o-m. The supply tightness in the market and continued high global prices rendered fall in exports for the month.
