Bangladesh: Non-coking coal imports inch up m-o-m in Aug’25

Bangladesh’s non-coking coal imports stood at 1.32 mnt in Aug’25, registering a slight 1.41% growth from 1.3 mnt in Jul’25. On a y-o-y basis, imports increased by 4% from 1.27 mnt in Aug’24. Indonesia remained the dominant supplier in Aug’25, exporting 1.21 mnt of shipments, down by 3.5% m-o-m, followed by South Africa, which supplied 0.12 mnt.
