Bangladesh: Major mills engage in active bulk scrap cargo bookings

Four-five cargoes of bulk US-origin HMS and shredded scrap were booked recently at $570/t CFR and $575/t CFR Bangladesh, respectively, for end Dec’21-early Jan’22 loading.
Bulk scrap bookings by Bangladesh have regained momentum following a decline in offers from the USA.
The country’s imports of bulk ferrous scrap stood at 2.02 mn t in Jan-Oct’21, as per SteelMint’s vessel line-up data.
