HRC import market in Bangladesh has remained silent this week with no major deals being reported.
Few Bangladesh based trade participants highlighted that last week a deal was concluded for Chinese HRC at around USD 665-670/MT, CFR Chittagong.
With considerable decline in Chinese HRC export offers in beginning of this week, Bangladesh based importers have taken a pause and are evaluating the offers presently.
No major deals were heard to have concluded. However importers want to book material for May shipment but are in wait & watch mode before finalizing the deal.
Chinese HRC export offers have fallen sharply by USD 5-10/MT W-o-W amid falling prices domestic market.Nation’s HRC price assessment is in the range of USD 590-615/MT,FoB China. Last week the offers were in the range of USD 620-625/MT,FoB basis.Payment are made on letter of credit basis for 1,000-10,000 MT.
Fewer offers from South Korean & Japanese mills were heard owing to limited allocations and strong domestic demand.
