Bangladesh: Bulk ferrous scrap imports fall sharply by over 45%, m-o-m, in May

Bangladesh’s bulk ferrous scrap imports dropped in May’22 by 46% to 210,000 t compared to 390,000 t in Apr, as per customs data.
The UK was the top exporter at 80,822 t, followed by the USA and The Netherlands at 67,400 t and 64,960 t, respectively.
Scrap imports witnessed a significant hike of 62% as against 130,000 mnt in May’21.
