Bangladesh: Bulk ferrous scrap import rebounds in Mar’21

Bulk ferrous scrap import in Bangladesh was recorded at 0.16 mn t in Mar’21, (up by 45% m-o-m) as against 0.11 mn t in Feb’21, as per vessel line up data maintained with SteelMint. Netherlands, USA and Japan remained major bulk scrap suppliers to Bangladesh in Mar’21. Imports are expected to remain supported on the back of restocking ahead of the approaching Ramadan holidays.
