Bangladesh: Bulk ferrous scrap import offers fall significantly

Bulk ferrous scrap import prices into Bangladesh have decreased further this week.
Price indications for US-origin HMS are at $425/t CFR, down by around $10-20/t, w-o-w.
Buyers moved to sidelines due to ongoing instability in currency conversion of Taka to US Dollar and drop in Turkiye scrap prices in recent deals.
Bulk scrap imports were up by 57% to 0.33 mnt in Jun’22 from 0.21 mnt in May’22.
